Find school directories by province and address, plus university and college examples with official admission sources.
Start with the province, then choose a city if you have one in mind. Provincial directories remain available for an address search; named institutions are examples, not a complete inventory.
Before choosing a home and school: what should you check?
Enter the proposed home address in the school board’s locator. Check grade, teaching language, attendance boundaries, transport and your child’s support needs. The nearest school may not be the designated one, and appearing on a map does not guarantee admission.
We do not rank schools in one national league table: provincial systems and measures differ. When comparing published assessments, check the year, grade and cohort size; a single score does not describe school quality or suitability for your child.
For Islamic and private schools, check the provincial record, then ask about grades, credentials, fees and places. Registry inclusion does not accredit every program or guarantee quality; Ontario specifically does not accredit or endorse private schools.
Each institution and program sets accepted school credentials, required subjects, grades and English or French evidence. Prepare transcripts and final credentials, following the institution’s submission and translation instructions. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
If you studied the British curriculum, do not assume IGCSE alone is sufficient for direct university entry; A-levels or another accepted qualification and required subjects may be needed. Check the admissions page for your curriculum and country, and order a paid credential assessment only when the relevant institution requires it.
These sources are examples from different institutions, not Canada-wide rules. Choose the institution and program, then check your curriculum requirements. An overseas credential does not automatically mean international tuition: confirm your fee category with the institution.
For Canadian high school: check required subjects and levels, not just your overall average. Quebec has a CEGEP/DEC pathway; preparatory study may apply depending on credentials and institution.
For overseas credentials: open the country or curriculum page and your document checklist. Certified translations or transcripts sent directly by your school may be required; follow the institution’s instructions.
Compare deadlines, fees, language and program location, then track your application portal. A conditional offer requires meeting the conditions in the offer letter.
University is not the only route: compare college diplomas and applied programs, and confirm program recognition for regulated careers.
University and college names here are provincial examples, not rankings or program recommendations. For more institutions, use the official directory and select the province and institution type there.
Enter your home address in the school board’s locator and confirm with the board. The nearest school may not be your designated school; program and capacity rules can affect placement.
